AWSM staff report
Headlining the transition is Jennifer Overman, AWSM’s new president. Overman has been a studio news editor at ESPN for more than five years. She has been on the AWSM board as the administration coordinator since 2012, and prior to that, held a variety of different roles on the board.
“AWSM has played an instrumental role in my career and given me lifelong friends along the way. This group of strong women has meant a great deal to me over the years and I hope that is something everyone in AWSM can experience,” Overman said. “I’m looking forward to the challenge of this new role and to working with the board to continue moving AWSM in the right direction. My priority is to help strengthen AWSM on every front as we grow and embrace the future.”
Overman will take over from Stefanie Loh as AWSM president on Aug. 1.
