AWSM members had plenty to share in the past few months. Do you have member news to pass along? Please let Alisha Puckett know by email at alisha.puckett (at) awsmonline (dot) org.
On April 3, AWSM@Boston University held a Boston Red Sox vs. New York Yankees viewing party. The student chapter raffled off Red Sox tickets as well as gift cards to UBurger, Starbucks and Zinga. The proceeds from the raffle benefited Athletes 4 Autism, a BU-based organization. The photo, showing students at the party, is courtesy of Meredith Perri.
AWSM@Oklahoma State hosted ESPN sportscaster Linda Cohn as a guest speaker to more than 100 students and staff members on March 7 at the Student Union Theater. The student chapter worked for many months to get Cohn to come to Oklahoma to speak, and it just so happens Cohn’s visit to OSU marked the first time she had ever been to the state.
Read more from OSU’s The Daily O’Collegian on Cohn’s appearance. The photo is provided to AWSM courtesy of The Daily O’Collegian.
