Candace Buckner of the Washington Post will join the Association for Women in Sports Media on Friday, Nov. 18, for a one-hour, interactive chat at 11:30 a.m. ET.
The online chat, hosted by AWSM VP/Professional Development Kelly Burke, is part of AWSM’s Career Focus initiative and is open to both AWSM members and non-members.
Buckner has covered sports at various newspapers since 2002, including stops in Macon, Ga., Kansas City, Gary, Ind. and Vancouver, Wash. Before joining The Post in August, Buckner was a sports reporter at The Indianapolis Star where she earned APSE top-10 honors for feature writing and breaking news.
Buckner is originally from St. Louis and attended the University of Missouri.
