ESPN will serve as the top sponsor for the Association for Women in Sports Media’s upcoming conference – set for May 7-10 at the Hyatt Lost Pines Resort and Spa just outside Austin, Texas.
“We can’t thank our sponsors enough for their support,” AWSM president Jenny Dial Creech said. “Their contributions directly help continue the growth and education of our members. We especially thank ESPN for continuing to be one of the leaders when it comes to supporting our group.”
ESPN, which employs more AWSM members than any outlet, has been an AWSM sponsor for 10 consecutive years and has served as the conference’s platinum-level sponsor five times.
The NBA and NFL return as gold-level sponsors while Fox Sports and Major League Baseball Advanced Media return as silver-level sponsors. MLBAM also has been an AWSM sponsor for 10 consecutive years.
Supporting AWSM at the bronze-level tier are the Associated Press, the College Football Playoff, Comcast NBCUniversal, Major League Soccer, Texas Program in Sports and Media, USA Today Sports and USSSA.
“We are extremely proud of our convention programs and what we are able to offer our members,” Creech said. “We couldn’t do it without the help of all of these organizations.”
