The Association for Women in Sports Media is pleased to introduce the 2014 scholarship and internship program winners.
This year’s talented class is the largest in four years, with AWSM selecting seven interns. Since 1990, AWSM has awarded scholarships and placed more than 130 female college students in sports media internships. This summer’s group will be the program’s 25th class.
AWSM welcomed CNN Sports and USA Softball as new employers this summer and is thrilled to continue working with ESPN, Sports Illustrated, MLB.com, the Denver Post and the Colorado Springs Gazette.
A special thank you goes out to the following for their ongoing support of the scholarship & internship program: Christine Brennan, Martin Doerfler, Kristin Huckshorn, Michelle Kaufman, Myra MacPherson, Selena Roberts, the Sports Journalism Institute and the Associated Press Sports Editors.
