How AWSM has helped you? Excellent networking opportunities … gaining valuable insight from folks like Cathy Henkel, Kristin Huckshorn, Julie Ward and Celeste Williams – particularly when I was getting started in newspaper management … developing friendships, including some that span more than 15 years.
Job/place of employment: Coordinating editor for college sports remote productions at ESPN.
Previous job: Various editorial positions at The Miami Herald.
Residence: American Airlines. Haha. Technically, South Florida …
Favorite team/s: Alabama & New York Rangers.
Favorite sporting event/s: Work – ESPN’s annual Armed Forces Classic. Fan – Alabama football.
Bucket list sporting event/s: Any stadium where Alabama wins a national title! Otherwise, Kentucky Derby & Monaco Grand Prix.
Favorite sports venue/s: Alabama’s Bryant-Denny Stadium, of course! Lots of great ones in the SEC – LSU and Texas A&M are probably my favorites. Views from Washington’s Husky Stadium are amazing. College basketball – Duke and Kansas. College baseball – LSU, hands down. Outside college sports, tough to beat following the Tour around France!
