The Association for Women in Sports Media welcomes two more sponsors to its lineup for the 2014 convention. AWSM will be at the Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Fla. from May 22-25, and registration is open.
Major League Soccer joins AWSM’s lineup as a bronze-tier sponsor, alongside the Associated Press, MLB Advanced Media, the New York Times Company, the Rose Bowl Game and USA Today Sports.
It is the third time in four years that MLS has signed on as a convention sponsor, and AWSM would like to thank Dan Courtemanche, MLS Executive Vice President/Communications for his continued support of women in sports media.
The Shirley Povich Center for Sports Journalism at the University of Maryland’s Phillip Merrill College of Journalism also joins AWSM’s sponsor list at the Friends of AWSM level.
AWSM would like to thank Povich Center Director George Solomon and coordinator Beth Mechum for their continued support.
AWSM’s 2014 sponsor list also includes ESPN, the NFL, the Fiesta Bowl, the NBA, Rachel Bachman, the International Softball Federation, Dow Jones & Company, the NCAA, the Orlando Magic and U-T San Diego.
