The National Football League and the National Basketball Association highlight the list of this year’s sponsors for the Association for Women in Sports Media’s annual convention May 23-25 in Denver.
The NFL has signed on as a gold-level sponsor, and has previously sponsored AWSM conventions in 2014 (Orlando), 2013 (Arizona), 2012 (Chicago) and 2011 (Charlotte). The NBA also has signed on as a gold-level convention sponsor for the fifth consecutive year.
The two major professional sports leagues are among 14 organizations that have agreed to sports this year’s convention on various financial levels, a list that includes the world’s leading sports and entertainment television network and two of the nation’s top newspapers.
This year’s convention sponsors are ESPN, the PGA Tour, the Associated Press, MLB.com, American Sports Network, Yahoo!, USA Today Sports, United States Specialty Sports Association, The New York Times, the NHL, the Palm Beach Post and MTM Recognition.
AWSM’s sponsorship levels are split into tiers:
Gold tier: $10,000-$19,999 sponsorship pledge;
Silver tier: $5,000-$9,999 sponsorship pledge;
Bronze tier: $2,500-$4,999 sponsorship pledge;
Friends of AWSM: Up to $2,499 sponsorship pledge.
The AWSM Convention would not be possible without our corporate support. AWSM thanks all of its sponsors for supporting this year’s convention in Denver, and looks forward to continuing its working relationship with each organization.
Interested sponsors for the 2015 or 2016 conventions should contact AWSM’s VP/Convention Jim Jenks and Jill Bouffard (firstname.lastname@example.org) for sponsorship information.
