The Association for Women in Sports Media is no longer accepting applications for the 2022 AWSM Scholars program. Applications closed on Oct. 31.

AWSM will award female college students a $1,000 scholarship and placement in a paid internship in one of four fields: sports writing, broadcast production, social media and media relations. Dallas Morning News, ESPN, NCAA Digital at Turner Sports, Sports Illustrated, Sporting News, USA Softball and Yahoo Sports are among the 2022 internship hosts. The winners will be announced this winter.

Since 1990, AWSM has placed more than 200 female college students interested in sports media careers in paid summer internships.

Our AWSM Scholars also each receive a $1,000 scholarship thanks to the ongoing support and generosity of our donors: Christine Brennan, Martin Doerfler, Kristin Huckshorn, Myra MacPherson, Jim Jenks, Tom Jolly, Jorge Rojas and the Associated Press Sports Editors.
