Ingemi will lead a board with a mix of newly elected and recurring members. Emily Leiker was elected vice president for social, Meredith Perri was elected vice president for website development, Christina Long was elected vice president for digital content, Kristin Huckshorn and Michele Himmelberg were elected co-vice presidents for scholarship and awards and Kati Braswell was elected vice president for professional development. Maggie Vanoni was re-elected as vice president for student programming and will continue supporting AWSM's student chapters.
The Association for Women in Sports Media is now accepting applications for its 2026 Scholars program. Recipients are award a 2026 paid summer internship or four mentoring sessions, a $1,000 scholarship, a one-year AWSM membership and paid registration for the next in-person AWSM convention. The deadline to apply is 11:59 p.m. PST on Dec. 21.
