AWSM will return to the Queen City for the organization’s 2023 convention — set for April 13-16 at the Charlotte Marriott City Center.

#AWSM2023 attendees will enjoy a rate of $149/night for singles and doubles during the program. Additional adult occupants in a guest room are subject to a fee. AWSM’s hotel block will close March 15 or when capacity is reached.  

Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT), ranked among the world’s top 10 busiest airports, is served by eight major carriers, 15 regional carriers and three foreign flag carriers with nonstop service to almost 200 destinations. A hub for American Airlines, the airport is six miles from the #AWSM2023 hotel.  

Numerous restaurants, museums and sports venues/attractions (Carolina Panthers, FC Charlotte, Charlotte Hornets, Triple-A Charlotte Knights and the NASCAR Hall of Fame) are located within walking distance of the hotel. AWSM also held its 2011 convention in uptown Charlotte.

Charlotte was selected by AWSM because of its vibrant sports market, affordability, accessibility and strong media presence. ESPN and Fox Sports both have studios in the city, which also is home to the Charlotte Observer, Sporting News, Sports Business Journal and Raycom Sports.
